  1. I am a claimant in the Berkeley settlement funds, has anyone out there received any monies? I sure haven't. Did not take them anytime to take the money out of our checking accounts and charge to our credit cards when not authorized but yet takes them five years to send monies.
    Disgusted

Dear Disgusted (starting to sound like Dear Abby)
First, Berkeley isn't the one sending the money it's the lawyers filing the lawsuit and we'd be surprised if they send out 2/3 of the total settlement out which might net you 10 cents on the dollar. Second, it's been just over two years since there was a ruling and not a year yet since the claim deadline. Do you think that maybe the lawyers have the money in the bank collecting interest? Whether or not monies are sent out at least those bastards aren't ripping off more people.

  2. Do you help solve home business scam complaints? I have all of the evidence of a home business that has been scamming for years and they are getting by with it and I would like it stopped.

I have all of the important evidence (an e-mail) away from you that proves this person's home business is a scam. She even admits in a e-mail that was sent to me that she has been doing this for 7 years. If possible I would like this person to have to pay for some sort of penalty shutting down their Internet scam. Please let me know.

    Thank you,

Greg (last name is being omitted)
Seems no one is reading our website and is looking for the easy way out by writing us. First, if you expect us to contact you leaving an e-mail address helps. Second, we'd be more than happy to post the information on our website to help others from getting scammed. Third, we don't do your work for you. Your the one that's been scammed and your the one that needs to make it right. Go to www.ftc.gov and file a complaint, go to www.consumer.gov and file a complaint. They will notify local law enforcement if warranted. Forth, read your submitted question above, we know your upset but your wording needs a little work.

  3. HOW DO I STOP SPAM HARASSMENT ? I HAVE ONE JACK ASS IN HENDERSON NV THEY HAVE 60 DIFFERENT E MAIL ADDRESS . I HAVE E MAILED THEM OVER TWO HUNDRED TIMES STOP SENDING ME THIS FU----G HARASSMENT EVERY DAY SPAM HOW DO I STOP THEM?
You didn't take enough time to read our spam page entirely or you wouldn't have needed to ask this. Please read the entire page. Spam is the bubonic plague of the Internet and just as tough to beat and cure. You said that the problem is from Nevada read this page - http://www.spamlaws.com/state/nv.shtml it states that if you can prove that they are the one sending you spam you can recover $50 per spam message up to $500 plus attorney fees and court cost. Then depending on what State your are in you maybe able to do it again in your State. Now that's the way to make money on the Internet and do a little good at the same time.
  4. If I fall prey to an online scam and money is removed from my bank account- can I recover the money?
If you used a credit card if you report it to them within 30 days of the transaction they will take care of it but you will have to send a signed statement. If you used a debit card notify them immediately as time is ticking some will do it up to 30 days and most will handle it but you will need to send a signed detail statement. If you used your checking account contact your bank immediately here you may have a problem as many State and Federal laws only allow a three working day period to change your mind on a purchase. You may also want to change your credit/debt card account to keep from getting further charges. Same for your checking account if that's what you used. Scammers will try to charge you again over and over.
  5. I'm checking on Americaquest or now they call them selfs AMC mortgage services?
There are a few complaints about them to view a few go to http://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/ameriquest.html
  6. Do you have any information on unclaimed accounts from Quebec?

    You need to go to

  7. I called for the free Berkeley's supplement altova.  they were supposed to only charge 4.90 for shipping.  I received my bank statement and they had charged me 24.50.  I tried to contact them .  Today I checked my account.  they had taken another 59.50 from my checking.  I need help. do I contact the bank????
Berkley Premium Nutraceuticals out of Cincinnati, Ohio does not run a reputable business practice. They go on the idea of trying to slip charges by you hoping you won't do anything about them or not be aware of them for 30 days. We noticed you said my checking account so we're going on the idea you did not use a credit card to place your order. Yes, contact your bank immediately don't wait even a day. Give them a complete history of what happened and don't open anymore products that maybe sent to you. Your going to need to return them for credit. They'll give you a song and dance about that because the product is ingested they will say it's against their policy to accept returns. This is bullshit. As long as the product remains in the original shipping package unopened you can return it. Don't worry about the FREE sample as your going to get stuck with the shipping charge. Now, never purchase a product online using your checking account or debt card. Use a regular credit card or a third party system such as PayPal if you need to use your checking account or debt card. Both give you support on all online purchases for 30 days from the purchase date for any reasonable claim. Note: Through our efforts and other victims of Berkley Premium Nutraceuticals all individuals who had the above happen to them may receive a refund of their money but you must act no later than July 11, 2007 log on to www.berkelysettlement.com or call 1-866-431-5307 for more details. In March 2004, a nationwide class action lawsuit (Parker v. Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, Case No. 04-CV-1903 was filed in Montgomery County Ohio Court of Common Pleas alleging that Berkely sold products without substantiating certain claims and improperly enrolled certain customers in an automatic renewal program. Berkeley denies these allegations. The Court preliminarily approved a Settlement on October 31, 2006. This Settlement will create a $4.7 million Settlement Fund to provide refunds to those claimants that return a valid claim form. If you fill a timely claim, the amount refunded to you will depend upon the number of valid claims made and may not equal the purchase price. Hooray! for our side.
No, we have no information at this time on the outcome of lawsuit.
  8. How can I get more information about Hoaxes and Scams?
The most complete way is using search engines see our how to page for using search engines more effectively.

    Hoax
  10. I've heard that some programs are spy-ware that they send my information on what I do on the internet to marketers?
Yes, there are programs that do that but not as many as they once where. See our Don't page and visit Gibson Research Corporation at www.grc.com we do not have permission to link to this site yet.
  11. Can I be watched while I'm online?
Depends on what you mean by watched if you do not have a web cam no one will see you in your underwear when your online. But if you do: peek a boo, WE SEE YOU. If you mean when your on a specific website can they get and see your information, YES.

  13. I'm on AOL are they really number one.
Only in the amount of clients they have. In all other aspects they are not even close. We lovingly refer to them as the armpit of the ISP's
  14. What about the ads we see on TV about online businesses and training.
Tough one. Some but not all will try to get you for more money then they say upfront. They walk a fine line between giving you all the costs and surprising you later with added costs. Many rely on your doing nothing and getting billed every month for something you do not want or need. Examples are the website business in a box, looks like a cheap way to make a few bucks but ends up costing hundreds of dollars more than the kit. Video Professor, this is a fine line, the program is excellent but you'll end up getting billed the full cost in ten days instead of just the shipping charges. That is if you do nothing.
  15. What about magazine companies and the you've been entered to win millions?
What I think you mean is the companies that send you a thing in the mail saying you may have won or we will enter you in a drawing for a million dollars. First rule no one gives anything away for nothing. You'll be asked to subscribe to a few magazines which they will do for a four year period then add on other items to really sock it to you. One thing they never seem to tell you is when the drawing will be held. Your better off buying a lottery ticket and throw your money away there.
  16. What about new Jdbgmgr.exe virus? How do you stop it?
Jdbgmgr.exe: It appears that the latest virus du jour is, in fact, a hoax-sort of. A flurry of e-mail messages is circulating the globe stating that Windows file jdbgmgr.exe is a virus and that you should remove it from your operating system. In truth, the file is a useful part of the Java software installed on all Windows systems. Now, here's the scary part: if you receive jdbgmgr.exe in an  e-mail, it could be a virus and you should delete it. Stopping it is easy just don't download it.
  17. British Lottery (that's all that was sent)
One of the biggest scams on the Internet right now is an e-mail having to do with winning the British Lottery. If you had bothered to read our page on scams you would know right away this was one.
  18. from which country jmail belong
(English majors this was how it was sent) It was developed in France.
  19. Is Hot Mail Donald Baldwin <rartioli@cox,net> Claims agent Ronald White Email vwd13@jmail.co.za a scam? or other? If people are telling you that you've won something that you never entered you can bet it's a scam.
